I know it's an age-old cliche, but it's so unbelievably true: when you have no money and go shopping, you see tons of painfully lovely things you'd like to buy, but when you go shopping with money you're more than willing and able to spend, you can't find anything.

I had a purse full of well-saved cash yesterday and went shopping looking for big chunky cardigans to wear. I have loads of hoodies but they're all too casual, and then I have some light, thin cardies, so I need some warmer but smarter ones.

Could I find anything? No! So many of them were horrible! Some were down to your knees, not a good look for me, or weird colours like orange and mustard.

There were loads of sweatshirts, that seems to be the new big thing, but that wasn't what I was looking for! So annoying!
